Number 3 Title: Use of a New Intensity Formula in Optical Emission Spectroscopy, Atmospheric Physics and Astronomy

Abstract: ... This paper is an extended review paper about the use of a new intensity formula in optical emission spectroscopy, atmospheric physics and astronomy. The laboratory data of atomic- and ionic spectra from different light sources do support the new formula. In the atmospheric field dominant light mechanisms in aurora have been revealed, which follow the new formula. The inverse of this formula can also be used to show the photoelectric effect for many elements. In astronomy new methods have been developed of determining electron- and effective temperature, density and mass of stars with the new formula as a basis, which are in accordance with literature values. An investigation of the Balmer lines in the sun shows that they do follow the new formula. Therefore the new formula is important in the sun and the stars. Number 3 Title: The Effect of Electromagnetic Field of Different Intensities on Bacillus Subtilis Bacteria and Pseudomonas Aeruginosa

Abstract: ... The effect of electromagnetic field of different intensities on Pseudomonas aeruginosa (as gram-negative bacteria) and Bacillus subtilis (as gram-positive bacteria) was investigated to find out the effective magnetic field strength that alters the running physiological processes of every microorganism. Equal volumes of P. aeruginosa and B. subtilis suspensions were exposed for one hour at their maximum rate of active growth to the electromagnetic field (2 - 10 mT, 50 Hz). The results indicated that no remarkable differences were found in the growth of exposed P. aeruginosa. Moreover, a remarkable inhibition in the growth of exposed relative to unexposed B. subtilis cells was achieved at (4 mT) as compared with other intensities which may indicate that this magnetic field induction had a great effect on the biological activity of the cells, so more investigations were made at this magnetic field induction. Remarkable changes in the growth characteristics could be easily detected as the absorbance decreased which indicate a decrease in the cells number and consequently an inhibition case for the bacteria. Also, the antibiotic sensitivity test of B. subtilis cells indicated either inhibition or stimulation case for the bacteria depending on the drug mode of action. Number 3 Title: A New Universal Formula for Atoms, Planets, and Galaxies Based on the Relativistic Schwarzschild/Minkowski Metric

Abstract: ... In this paper a new universal formula about the rotation velocity distribution of atoms, planets, and galaxies is presented. It is based on a new general formula based on the relativistic Schwarzschild/Minkowski metric, where it has been possible to obtain expressions for the rotation velocity - and mass distribution versus the distance to the atomic nucleus, planet system center, and galactic center. A mathematical proof of this new formula is also given. This formula is divided into a Keplerian(general relativity)-and a relativistic(special relativity) part. For the atomic-and planet systems the Keplerian distribution is followed, which is also in accordance with observations. According to the rotation velocity distribution of the galaxies the rotation velocity increases very rapidly from the center and reaches a plateau which is constant out to a great distance from the center. This is in accordance with observations and is also in accordance with the main structure of rotation velocity versus distance from different galaxy measurements. Computer simulations were also performed to establish and verify the rotation velocity distributions in the atomic – planetary- and galaxy system, according to this paper. These computer simulations are in accordance with observations in two and three dimensions. It was also possible to study the matching percentage in these calculations showing a much higher matching percentage between theoretical and observational values by this new formula. Number 3 Title: An Improved Model for Cervical Cancer Diagnosis using Ant Bee Colony (ABC) Algorithm

Abstract: ... In recent times, the world is experiencing mortality of the female of which its leading cause is cervical cancer. It is a known fact that the cervix is a part of the uterus and it is the area affected by the cancer hence the name, cervical cancer. It is a type of cancer that affects the cervix of the uterus. It is common in female mammals, especially in humans. Notably, in women, most cancer deaths are caused by this cancer type. There are certain triggers or risk factors that increase the risk of the disease if not checked. This disease can be managed to a very large extent if detected early. There are medically approved tests for detecting this disease; however, due to technological advancement in the field of healthcare, researchers have developed computerized prediction and diagnosis systems for cervical cancer disease. These existing systems however suffer major drawbacks such as poor clinical datasets of cervical cancer symptoms and its interpretations. Another drawback is lack of an efficient model for accurate diagnosis. In this work, we have developed an improved model for cervical cancer diagnosis using ABC algorithm. The Lean methodology was adopted in this approach. The system was implemented using JAVA programming language. Artificial neural network was used to train the model in MATLAB environment. The proposed system had an accuracy of 97% as opposed to the existing system with 93.33%, when evaluated using parameters such as precision, recall, time complexity etc. The system also provided the level of severity of the diagnosed disease, which makes the diagnosis more efficient. This system could be beneficial to World Health Organization (WHO), to researchers in the field of cervical cancer and ABC algorithm and medical professionals in cancer management. Number 3 Title: Enhancement of Feature Removal and Image Improvement Methods on Rural Fingerprint Images to enhance the Authentication Ratio and the Recognition

Abstract: ... Fingerprint recognition is one of the most popular and successful methods used for person identification which takes advantage of the fact that the fingerprint has some unique characteristics called minutiae which are points where a extracts the ridges and bifurcation from a fingerprint image. A critical step in studying the statistics of fingerprint minutiae is to reliably extract minutiae from the fingerprint images. However fingerprint images are rarely of perfect quality. Fingerprint image enhancement techniques are employed prior to minutiae extraction to obtain a more reliable estimation of minutiae locations. Fingerprint matching is often affected by the presence of intrinsically low quality fingerprints and various distortions introduced during the acquisition process. In this paper we have used the rural fingerprints database which is collected from IIIT Delhi research lab which consists of 1634 fingerprints images. Out of which we have preprocess 600 sample preprocessing extracts the ridges and bifurcation from a fingerprint image and tried to improve the quality of images. The three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT), intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), and image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) are the most advanced techniques in radiotherapy, which use irregular fields–using multileaf collimators in a linear accelerator. The accuracy of these techniques depends on dosimetric characteristics of the multileaf collimators. There is an option for optimizing the jaws to the irregular MLC field to reduce the scattered radiation and intra- and inter-leaf radiation leakage beyond the field. In this study, 80 leaf MLC system has been taken to compare and differentiate their characteristics with 6-MV, and 10-MV photon beams. The challenge of selecting, filtering, and managing increased quantities of textual data, to which access is usually crucial, face modern information technologies and web-based services. Text Retrieval is an information subtask that permits users to more quickly navigate across category hierarchies through the collection of texts of their own interests. In the realm of artificial intelligence, machine learning systems automatically develop models from the data to make better decisions. Natural language processing (NLP) offers good performance in statistical problems, including text categorization or sentiment mining, through corpora and learning methodologies. The study is focused on the role of Natural Language Processing in document categorization with the aim of increasing accuracy in the categorization of documents. The specific objectives are to design a model that will optimize accuracy of document categorization, implement the document categorization using python language NLP Toolkit for text processing and naïve bayes method to build a model and evaluate the accuracy of the categorization. The data set consisted of 93239 news reports and six features; the naive Bayes model obtained 95.5% precision after text processing. This is beneficial to office assistants and any other cooperate position in the management of large volume of document. Number 3 Title: Textbooks Availability, Family Background and Genders Influence on Students’ Academic Achievement in Secondary School Chemistry in Bayelsa

Abstract: ... Chemistry is a core science subject offered by most science students in Senior Secondary School, but the performance in final examination has not been encouraging. This study therefore investigated textbook availability, family background and gender factors that determine students academic achievement in senior secondary school chemistry, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. To guild the study, five research questions were formulated. The design was a descriptive design. The population of the study consists of all the senior secondary school in Ogbia Local Government Area. 160 out of 1789 SS2 students in five secondary schools Ogbia Local Government Area were selected for the study using stratified and simple random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a questionnaire on textbook availability; Family background and gender (TAFBQ) and Chemistry Achievement Test (CAT) designed by the researcher were validated by experts. The reliability of the instrument was established using Cronbach Alpha. The data collected was analyzed using mean and standard deviation. The reliability coefficient of 0.71 and 0.79 was found for textbook. Availability and Family Background and Gender Questionnnaire (TAFBQ) and Chemistry Achievement Test (CAT) respectively. The findings of this study generally revealed that parental level of education, parental level of income, parental occupation, textbook availability determines students’ academic achievement in senior secondary school chemistry, whereas family size does not necessarily determine students’ academic achievement in Chemistry. The study also revealed that male and female students have equal performance in senior secondary school chemistry. Based on this finding, the study recommended amongst other that the ministry of education should provide both formal and informal education for parents to be aware of the importance of catering for their children and teachers should provide students with low socioeconomic background with words of encouragement. Number 3 Title: Microorganisms: A Tool for Technological Advancement with Focus on Enhanced Oil Recovery in the Oil and Gas Industry. A Review

Abstract: ... The ever-rising global demand for energy and the issue of large volumes of unrecovered oil after primary and secondary oil production operations are driving the development and/or advancement of enhanced oil recovery enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques. Conventional enhanced oil recovery processes include thermal, immiscible and miscible gas injection, chemical, and microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR). The depletion of oil resources, increasing global energy demand, the current low, yet unpredictable, price of oil, and increasing maturity of major oil fields has driven the need for the development of oil recovery technologies that are less costly and, where possible, environmentally compatible (MEOR). Using current technologies, between 20 and 40% of the original oil in a reservoir can be extracted by conventional production operations (e.g., vertical drilling), with secondary recovery methods yielding a further 15–25%. Hence, up to 55% of the original oil can remain unrecovered in a reservoir. Enhanced oil recovery (EOR) is a tertiary recovery process that involves application of different thermal, chemical, and microbial processes to recover an additional 7–15% of the original oil in place at an economically feasible production rate from poor-performing and depleted oil wells using Niger Delta as a case study. Enhanced oil recovery can significantly impact oil production, as increase in the recovery rate of oil by even a small margin could bring significant revenues without developing unconventional resources. Microbial enhanced oil recovery (MEOR) is an attractive, alternative oil recovery approach, which is claimed to potentially recover up to 50% of residual oil. The in situ production of biological surface-active compounds (e.g. bio-surfactants, biopolymers) during the MEOR process does not require vast energy inputs and are not affected by global crude oil prices compared to other enhanced oil recovery methods, microbial enhanced oil recovery can be an economically and more environmentally friendly alternative which can be employed in Niger Delta to recovers vast amount of residual oil.
